Before you join a company, you need to know its philosophy and its people. As president of Derby Pizza, I want to tell you about our philosophy of licensing success.
After more than 35 years in the pizza business, I have made some important discoveries about pizza and licensing. You will be your own boss. You will stretch pizzas and hear the rave reviews of the product, because we do offer a superior pizza in the marketplace. However, our business is not glamorous or easy. It is hard work.
But I also believe that the rewards are great. To work hard and see the results, and call the success your own, is exciting. It is the way I was raised and the way I run this company. We take nothing for granted…
MY COMMITMENT to you is to offer you the best licensing company in the industry. Licensing is a relationship. Derby’s Pizza will support you every step of the way, from the initial meeting with us, and for as long as the Derby’s name is on your store. The old cliché about “my name is on the door” is true. I do take personal pride in this company.
To be successful at Derby’s Pizza I believe you too, need to make commitments; a commitment to yourself and your ability to run a successful business; a commitment to hard work and long hours; a commitment and belief in the licensor, because we want you to represent us with pride.
Another part of our philosophy is to attract good people. If you become a Derby’s Pizza licensee, you will join a very fine group of men and women who have made the commitments I mention. They have goals for their stores and dreams for their financial success. Most of them are striving toward their second, third or fourth store. Some have plans for many more. I am proud of each of them.
